Cancún

Cancun is a sophisticated caribbean city, it is famous for its blue waters with turquoise shades, its white beaches with soft sand, incredible malls and an endless night life.

Mosto of Quintana Roo state is plain, with an average height of no more than 10 meter over the sea. The exception is the west side of the area, where ground goes up to 200 meters over the sea, on the tectonic plate of Zohlaguna. Yalahau lagoon occupies the coast to the north and from Cabo Catoche coast goes south, its geographic formations are Cozumel and Ascension island, Espiritu Santo and Bahias de Chetumal. Most of the state is formed by limestone and rainwater that is filtered to the cenotes and caves.

Isla Mujeres

The south area of this island is well known for its beautiful reefs and its spectacular cliffs, it has the greatest elevation in the Yucatan peninsula and it’s the home of an ancient mayan temple). Cliffs offer a spectacular view of the Caribbean sea that will leave you delighted.

Garrafon Natural Park is an aquatic and recreation park that is located on Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres. It is well known around the world for its natural beauty and incredible recreational activities. It does not matter if you prefer kayaking, snorkeling, biking, going on an excursion, flying in the zip line or swimming with dolphins, this park has everything for everyone. 

You can get there by car, from Punta Sam where the ferry departs every 45 minutes. By speedboat from Puerto Juárez that departs every 30 minutes and it takes 15 minutes to get there. And finally, from the hotel area in Cancun in boats that depart at different hours and take 35 minutes to arrive.

Puerto Morelos (36 km/22 mi)

Puerto Morelos is part of the Benito Juárez municipality, a calmed fishing town. It has several beaches and a great coral reef that is now a national park: Crococun (a crocodile farm) and a botanic garden called: Alfredo Barrera Marin. On june 1st, Navy’s day, is the perfect day for the fishing tournament that is celebrated year by year. Puerto Morelos is the starting point for the ferry that leaves to Cozumel.

Playa del Carmen (68 km/42 mi)

Playa del Carmen is a town located in front of the sea and has a vibrant environment which is also a starting point for ferries that leave for Cozumel. Its main avenue called: Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) is a mixture of outside restaurants and bars, craft stores and little hotels. Playacar complex also has a golf course and Xaman-Ha aviary.

Puerto Aventuras (89 km/54 mi)

It is a community complex with a beautiful beach, a golf course, a navy, a nautic museum, hotels, condominium and villages. It has nearby cenotes called: Azul, Kantunchi and Zazil Hále. Also, there are huge natural pools to swim with dolphins or perform different shows. 

Akumal (104 km/66 mi)

This adorable complex is formed by little hotels, condominiums and vacation houses, together on the coast made by two protected bays. Akumal, which means “turtles place” in mayn, offers to its visitors great beaches and reefs. The entrance to the Yalkí sea lies in the north of town and it is a popular place to practice snorkeling. The nearest beaches are Kantenah and Xcacel.

Aktun Chen (104 km/66 mi)

A 600 meters long cave system within a 400 hectares jungle park, where spiders, monkeys and deers live. Its natural vases offer a beautiful view of the clear waters inside the tunneñs or little roads that go through the place.
